Happy Birthday Singapore!
Today is 9th August, 2021, Singapore’s 56th birthday.
We have been making a red and white jelly cheese cake with strawberry stars the past few years to celebrate this special occasion.
It’s a quiet celebration this year, as we’re still in the midst of the Covid restrictions.
This year’s NDP’s song has a unique look and feel, with the inclusion of animation superimposed on the video. It’s gives a nice feel, with animated people from the past and future placed over where crowded places are now empty. It makes you kinda wistful about how things used to be, but yet hopeful of what it will be like after the current reality.
