Proverbs 11:25
I’ve learned God doesn’t tell us what our itching ears want to hear…
It was one of those days when I badly wanted to hear something like “aww, u poor little darling, come to me all you who are heavy laden and I will give you rest..”
Unfortunately, I was admonished with prov 11:25 the moment I opened the bible…
“A generous man will prosper, he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed.”
Not exactly what I wanted to hear when I was feeling dry and tired and sorry for myself, but truly words of wisdom when they finally managed to sink in much later…
Come to think of it, it’s a rather happy verse…:)
